COD Modern Warfare II is one of the most highly anticipated games in the past 10 years. The great thing behind its development is that it’s been in the works since 2018, players are hoping to have a roller-coaster ride in the upcoming iteration which is supposed to release sometime in Q4 in 2022. Of late, the leaker has released information related to the game’s campaigns, plot, and settings. Let’s take a look at those leaked details.

The Game Setting

In September 2021, the first details about the game’s setting were leaked by Andy Robinson (Video Game Chronicle). Recently, the prominent CoD leaker Tom Henderson revealed that the game will take place right into the heart of the Colombian drug war.

The setting is supposed to be pretty darker and the game is expected to be violent in terms of setting and tone. Henderson added that “I wouldn’t be surprised if this game makes headlines in the media, for some of the decisions you have to make,”

The game is also rumored to be stealthier than its previous versions.

The Plot

The specifics of the Plot are currently hidden and no such confirmation is there on the exact plot of the game however the observation is that the plot may take inspiration from films like Denis Villeneuve’s Sicario.

Tom Henderson added that “Task Force 141 will be returning to take on the cartels”, which will likely see the implementation of fan-favorite characters such as John “Soap” MacTavish and Simon “Ghost” Riley.

New Features

As per Henderson Leaks, the AI in the game is going to be quite advanced and it has been completely overhauled. This information is based on the QA testing of the game’s different missions.

Henderson added that: “If you shoot them in the arms or the legs, they’ll lose their limbs. If you shoot them in the chest, they might not necessarily die straight away.”

All in all, we would like to say that CoD Modern Warfare II is looking extremely promising, the community’s expectations are over the moon with these leaks flowing in. Let’s see how the game fares once it releases this year. 😊
