I feel sorry for a lot of these console players who want to enjoy Cyberpunk 2077 and enjoy the “good graphics” but they cant because their graphics aren’t looking too good right now. This game is suppose to look absolutely stunning but with all the bugs and glitches, its not doing so well. Studies have shown if you tunr these three settings off then your graphics will get better.

They are:

  • Film Grain
  • Cinematic Aberration
  • Motion Blur

With these three setting people got a performance gain, though it was not a huge difference.

forbes.com states “I spent some time running around a fairly crowded area with my eye on the FPS counter, and I found that it was typically 5 or so frames higher with these three things turned off rather than on. My guess is that the motion blur was probably the most impactful setting there.

But more than that, it just looks better with these options turned off. Here, the film grain was most noticeable: it does just about what you would think it would do and adds a grain on top of the screen. The problem is that this isn’t a film and never would be, and so rather than looking like one it looks like a video game with a film grain superimposed over it.”
