The new PS5 and Xbox One X have had a huge impact on the gaming community in terms of how the console runs and all the great things inside of them. More noticeable that the PS5 had the most sales in launch month in the US and beat the previously record set by the PS4.

“Consumers spent a November record $1.4 billion on new video game hardware, an increase of 58% when versus a year ago,” NPD analyst Mat Piscatella explained. “Growth was driven by the launches of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. Year-to-date hardware spending reached $4 billion, 34% higher than a year ago.”

The top next gen console was indeed the PS5, although if both Xbox and Playstation had more units to sell the outcome could be different. The PS5 had reached the highest launch month both in dollar sales and units for video game hardware platforms in the US.

Software sales has also gained many sales, the sales went up by 32% when compared to last years sales thanks to the arrival of next gen Consoles.
